Introduction

Let me introduce you to Rocky Top: called this because we blasted the house site out of the side of a mountain about one hundred fifty feet above the road/creek level. The materials were used to expand the level parking in area of garage while leaving the remainder of the land untouched. The surrounding area is make up of larger than average sites (acres). The local wildlife visits regularly fox, deer, elk, etc. However, we are just 25 miles from Denver and only ten to fifteen minutes to Major grocery stores, Restaurants, medical & dental clinics, gas stations, park and ride lot, four lane road to Denver and only two miles from a fire station.

Rocky Top was my dream. I designed it , engineered it and built it with the help of friends and a few contractors for the areas that I was not good at or did not want to do. This house is overbuilt as I wanted it to last for the ages. I was leaving it to my son and his heirs. Life has a way of changing things. My son passed away and my wife followed five years later. I lost the reasons to pursue my dream. So I wish to pass it on the someone else to bring it to life make it their dream and to finish what is started here. Life goes on. I have a new lady and we are moving to the Ozarks in Missouri to go fishing.

The core is all there--you just need finish the lower level --(see pictures) choose your colors , the flooring, complete the greenhouse, finish planting the garden area (Yarrow, catnip, sage and raspberries are in) and make this house into your dream home.
